Office opening is part of the international expansion strategy of the Brazilian company, which this month celebrates 15 years of innovation, investing in new flexible optical solutions and with greater transmission capacity.
Bringing to market advanced solutions for flexible optical transmission and high capacity, based in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing technology (DWDM) and fully developed in Brazil, has been Padtec’s focus, the largest manufacturer of optical transport systems in Latin America – which this month completes 15 years of action. Aligned with international trends of the technology in this area, the company has been investing in the development of last generation products with compact architecture and low power consumption.
In the month that celebrates its 15 years, the company announces the opening of another office in Latin America (the first was opened in 2007 in Buenos Aires – Argentina). Located in Bogota (Colombia), the new office aims to expand the company’s presence in the region and facilitate sales support and operations of important customers from the Andean and Central America. It should contribute to the expansion of the company’s market share in the coming years.
“The new office further strengthens the international expansion of Padtec, since the region has a strong optical transmission market, mainly driven by the growing demand for broadband access”, says Manuel Andrade, Padtec’s CEO. “Padtec equipment light more than 13,000 kilometers of DWDM networks is ranging from southern Mexico to Colombia. This investment will help to meet that market which still has much room to grow. Establish an infrastructure in the region will ensure that Padtec is in the right place, when needed by the customer”, he adds.
Reference in technology and DWDM systems for optical transport high capacity, Padtec offers an extensive product portfolio that meets the demands end-to-end – in transport, optical amplification and route protection – large operators, integrators, utilities and service providers. That Service branch, today with more than 40 points of presence in Brazil, acts in the implementation, operation and maintenance of systems and network management, with a history of operations in major events hosted in the country.
