New compact products generation for optical systems is Padtec’s featured at Futurecom 2016

Latest equipment, more compact architecture and low power consumption are the main novelty of Padtec in the event.

Padtec is present at Futurecom 2016, Latin America’s largest event in TIC, which is being held this week (from 17 to 20th October), at the Transamerica Expo Center in Sao Paulo. The company presents in its booth (B28), the broad portfolio of products for optical transmission systems of high capacity, which meets the demands end to end – in transport, optical amplification and protection routes – terrestrial and submarine networks.

Aligned with the market trends with products that provide lower power consumption and space, Padtec invested in the development of a 4U compact product, one of the novelties of the company stand at Futurecom. The product is part of LightPad i6400G Platform and is indicated for use in knots average capacity in DWDM optical systems (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing). “It is a solution that allows further customization to the DWDM project networks, making better use of increasingly scarce spaces in telecom stations,” says Argemiro Sousa, Padtec’s Business Director. “We continue to offer our customers multiple possibilities for aggregation of next-generation services with high availability and flexibility features already known in LightPad Platform i6400G, but now with lower occupancy and a more attractive cost-effective”, he adds.

At Futurecom’s Congress, Padtec will participate in the panel Submarine cables in Brazil: Where are we?, scheduled for the day 18/10 (Tuesday) from 18h to 19h10. During the panel, Manuel Andrade, CEO, will discuss with other guests – representatives of the world’s major telecommunications companies – broadband demands and the challenges for the construction of undersea optical networks in Brazil.
