Padtec provides DWDM system for Telbrax corporate network

The optical solution provided by Padtec ensures service to a greater volume of data traffic for a major customer in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, for which Telbrax made the DWDM system insourcing.

With business booming and a growing portfolio of corporate clients, Telbrax, a Brazilian operator specialized in high-speed data communication solutions, was hired by an important company located in Minas Gerais to build an efficient and reliable optical infrastructure, adding higher transmission rate to their network.

“The demand from our customers for high capacity services has grown sharply in recent years, with a strong trend of Brazilian companies to install DWDM sites in their particular environments. It is good to count on this partnership with Padtec, a Brazilian company with high investments in national technology research and development, to continue to provide quality services to corporate clients and increase our presence in this market”, says Alexander Flach, Telbrax Business Director.

The project, which uses part of the Telbrax existing distribution infrastructure, includes providing transponders, optical amplifiers and a transmission structure with redundant protection at the customer site, ensuring ultra-fast speed for information sharing and data transporting in exclusive network.

“The companies have significantly increased the generation, processing and data storage, making them important resources to gain competitiveness. The demand for high-availability systems and for efficient data transmission requires reliable solutions”, says Argemiro Sousa, Padtec Business Director. “The Padtec LightPad platform offers the best solution for optical transport DWDM aligned with the needs of our customers and the flexibility to carry different data protocols required by the market”, he adds.

Padtec equipment that makes up the solution offered to Telbrax have been installed and are in operation since last year.
