Padtec takes part in HVDC Users Conference

The event, organized by Furnas and held from October 25th to 30th in Foz do Iguaçu, PR-Brazil, intend to share information, technical solutions and experiences about HVDC links.
Padtec presents a solution developed for IE Madeira, a Furnas, Chesf and CTEEP´s transmission line project that, with 2.375 km, will cross five states in Brazil (Rondônia, Mato Grosso, Goiás, Minas Gerais and São Paulo).
The solution, deleloped by CPqD and Eletronorte, manufactured and commercialized by Padtec, is based on the remote pumping technology, which allows increasing the distance between electrically powered equipment in optical-transmission systems. The ROPA, Remote Optical Pump Amplifiers, reduces the number of repeaters and provides a less-expensive solution in long distances transmissions line and in the total telecommunication solutions.
