Conversor Multimodo-Monomodo
The multimode singlemode converter allows the connection of a multimode transmitter, for example, to the output of an IP router or to the output of an ATM switch in a singlemode fiber. Cases like this are usual in local networks such as SAN – (Storage Area Network).

The multimode singlemode converter is also compatible with ESCON type interfaces in which transmission is made through multimode fiber. It is also compatible with 850 nm interfaces. The use of Padtec’s multimode singlemode converters allows extending the range of any digital optical transmission interface in use in the market. Besides the conversion from multimode to singlemode fiber, they also provide the conversion of the emitted light spectrum. They can utilize DFB type lasers, enabling a significant increase in optical signal reach.
• Connection of IP routers, ATM switches, ESCON interfaces, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet with singlemode output in 850 nm or 1310 nm, to singlemode fiber networks
• Increase in reach of multimode and even singlemode transmitters
• Compact (1U horizontal) or 4U vertical in chassis with capacity of up to 10 boards
• Low consumption and power dissipation
• AC/ DC or Full Range power supply
• Alarm infrastructure management through dry contact relays
• Utilization of the DFB (Distributed Feed Back) laser permits attaining distances of up to 100 km without optical amplification
