Innovative optical communications solutions for the ICT market will be Padtec’s main highlight at the ISE-Expo 2019 September 25 to 26th in Fort Worth Texas. One of the attractions at Padtec’s booth is the new compact 2RU shelf, which features a compact architecture and low power consumption, keeping up with technology trends. As a result of the company’s research and development efforts, this product – as well as the 4RU shelf – is part of the LightPad i6400G Platform and is intended for use in medium capacity nodes of DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical systems. This shelf allows a complete DWDM optical system to be built in just 2RU. It can be equipped with a variety of line cards to meet end-to-end transport network requirements, including transponders, muxponders, optical amplifiers and protection.
