High Capacity Optical Transport

LightPad i6400G

The LightPad i6400G platform_

is a transparent optical transport solution based on DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology to meet, with flexibility and robustness, the most diverse applications in optical systems.

Specifications

  • Built with an extremely flexible and modular architecture
  • Capacity can be expanded without traffic interruption, up to 200 channels of 10 Gb/s, 40 Gb/s, 100 Gb/s and 200 Gb/s, aggregating up to 40 Tb/s on a single fiber pair
  • Support for applications in terrestrial and submarine backbones, metro/aggregation and corporate access networks and SAN Extension

The LightPad i6400G platform incorporates several technologies to transport multiple services:

  • DWDM – Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing
  • OTN – Optical Transport Network
  • ODU-XC – ODU Cross-connect
  • ROADM WSS – Wavelength Selective Switch

In addition, the platform offers several methods and levels of protection of the optical layer and several models of EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) and Raman optical amplifiers, capable of extending the length of terrestrial links to up to 3000 km without intermediate 3R regeneration. In other words: more information with more security.
