A new generation of transponders, including models with 200 Gbps transmission rates per channel, will be a major attraction at Padtec’s booth at the Cable-Tec Expo being held from October 1st to 3rd in New Orleans (LA). In line with international technology trends in optical transport, the new Padtec LightPad i6400G platform’s 100 and 200 Gbps transponder line combines high data throughput with lower space requirements and power consumption and flexible network interfaces (based on CPF2-DCO). “Another of the technical innovations of this generation of transponders are the more flexible network interfaces that allow better adaptation of optical channels to the demands of network performance and expansion”, says Ralph Huff, Padtec’s Regional Sales Director.
