Padtec participates this Tuesday, October 29, in the 4th Half-Year Meeting of the ANSP (the São Paulo Academic Network). This event takes place every six months and gathers the entire ANSP ecosystem, researchers, the scholarly community, enterprises and professionals interested in communications through the network. It comprises lectures, training programs and workshops, and for this edition the guiding theme is “SDN, Network-Cloud Convergence”.
Padtec and ANSP demonstrate the 100 Gbps network by connecting through the Kyatera network the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and the Electronic Computing Center of the University of São Paulo (USP), totaling approximately 130 km of network. This is the first 100 Gbps DWDM system in Brazilian for education and research networks.
“This is an important achievement to Brazilian engineering, which is at the same state-of-the art level as that of the world’s finest engineering. The cooperative work carried out between the University, the Research Center (CPqD) and the industry has delivered an output of great relevance to technology and the market”, points out Mr. Jorge Salomão Pereira, the CEO of Padtec.
Actively participating in education and research networks is part of Padtec’s tradition. Education and research networks such as the Kyatera Network, the Giga Project network and RedClara are some of the examples of Padtec’s participation.
