This latest generation product, the remote pumping amplifier, developed by Padtec, uses state-of-the-art technology for high capacity data transmission over ultra long distances.
Padtec, a leading manufacturer of optical transport systems, brings to the market its ROPA (Remote Optically Pumped Amplifier) C +. The ROPA C+ is part of Padtec’s family of optical amplifiers. Other amplifiers provided by Padtec include EDFA, Raman and the most compact hybrid models (EDFA/Raman) on the market.
As a result of the research and development effort carried out by Padtec, the ROPA amplifier system will enable data transmission at extremely high rates (in the order of terabits per second) over very long distances, without the need to build intermediate regeneration stations. Spans can exceed 300 kilometers, up to three times the distances achieved by conventional amplification systems.
