Products are available for different applications; options can be found in the company’s new virtual catalog.
Padtec, one of the global leaders in optical communications systems, is launching a line of gray pluggable modules that can be used in a wide range of applications and with switches and routers from multiple vendors across the market. The catalog is comprehensive and offers competitive pricing to meet the needs of telecom operators, data center companies, and Internet service providers (ISPs) of all sizes.
“With this line, we are expanding the reach of Padtec’s portfolio, since gray pluggables are used by different types of organizations in a wide variety of applications,” says Alexandre Piovesan, the company’s Product Director.
Programmable and compatible with all switches and routers available on the market, the new Padtec pluggables can be used to connect equipment within the same rack (intra-rack), between different racks, across data center rooms, or even between data centers and Points of Presence (POPs) located at short to medium distances from each other. The line includes pluggables in industry-standard form factors such as QSFP28 and QSFP-DD, and supports multiple data rates—from 100 Gb/s up to current 400 Gb/s equipment.
Padtec’s full pluggables portfolio—which also includes the recently launched QSFP-DD 400G Ultra Long Haul module, featuring coherent modulation technology for ultra-long distances—is available in the company’s new virtual catalog. Designed to serve customers seeking versatile, high-speed, and cost-effective connectivity solutions, the catalog provides information on a wide range of pluggable models and allows users to request quotes and place orders directly through the Padtec website.
