Event organized by Abrint takes place from May 7 to 9 in São Paulo and will bring together internet providers from across the country.
Padtec, one of the world leaders in optical communications systems, is bringing several new products and digital solutions to the Abrint Global Congress (AGC) – the new name of the annual internet provider meeting, which has grown and is expanding its reach by bringing in global speakers and companies. Organized by the Brazilian Association of Internet and Telecommunications Providers (Abrint), this year’s event will be held from May 7 to 9 at Distrito Anhembi, in São Paulo, and will gather ISPs from across the country, as well as manufacturers, technology suppliers, regulatory agencies, investors, startups, and other key players in the sector.
In the area of digital solutions, one of Padtec’s highlights will be the evolution of Smart Site, a cloud platform that enables complete remote management of the infrastructure of telecom operators and ISPs, providing greater agility and efficiency in identifying and solving problems. “Smart Site is evolving into Smart Operations, with the incorporation and integration of new features focused on operations management and intelligence,” says Alexandre Piovesan, Director of Platforms and Solutions at Padtec.
Among the integrated features of the solution is Smart Workspot, an online platform for managing field teams (Workforce Management, or WFM) involved in network operation and maintenance. Launched last year, the platform allows integrated management of teams and response times and can be customized for each operation. Two additional features will be available commercially in the coming months as part of the Smart Operations solution: Smart Fiber, for optical fiber management, and Smart Device, designed to facilitate the integration of devices into the network.
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to speed up and improve network troubleshooting for customers is another highlight at the booth. Through a kiosk, visitors will be able to explore the Padtec Assistant, a tool to be launched this year that uses Generative AI to suggest solutions to network issues – based on Padtec’s own knowledge base.
In the products area, one of the highlights is the AC-powered version of the TM2400G transponder. Part of the LightPad Max line, this product was launched last year to meet market demand for ultra-high transmission capacity in DWDM networks – supporting rates of up to 1.2 Tb/s on a single channel and usable over medium, long, and ultra-long distances. The new AC-powered version makes it easier to install the equipment in data center environments.
Additionally, Padtec will present two new software tools at the event. One is the Smart API with a REST interface, designed to centralize the management data of Padtec equipment and facilitate export to third-party systems that may consolidate monitoring from different technologies and vendors. This solution also enables data generation (data lake) for use in AI systems. The second tool, Pluggable Management, allows for configuration and control of coherent transceivers inserted directly into a router, helping overcome restrictions on the use of IP over DWDM (IPoDWDM) – a technique that enables the direct integration of IP networks with DWDM transport systems.
Padtec’s booth is located at B08.
