Padtec starts trading on the B3’s Novo Mercado

The company’s shares are now traded at the highest level of corporate governance on the Brazilian Stock Exchange.

Padtec Holding (B3: PDTC3), the sole shareholder of Padtec S/A, a leading manufacturer of optical transport systems, announces that it has entered the Brazilian Stock Exchange’s Novo Mercado. The company’s common shares have started to be traded in this segment of the Stock Exchange, intended for the shares of companies committed to corporate governance practices that go beyond legal requirements.

“Padtec’s entry into the Novo Mercado is a reflection of the company’s constant efforts to improve processes, practices and policies. Our corporate governance, which has been built over the years, prepared the company for new investment and growth cycles, with a solid foundation of transparency and responsibility”, says Carlos Raimar, Padtec’s CEO. “Our goal is to continue working to transform Padtec into an even bigger, more efficient, increasingly sustainable company and, through the thousands of telecommunications operators, to be a fundamental pillar in the universalization of internet access in the markets in which we operate”, adds the executive.

For Renato Jordão, Padtec’s CFO and Investor Relations Director, the migration reinforces the company’s commitment to an even more transparent, equitable management and is in tune with the demands of its shareholders. “Even before becoming a publicly traded company, Padtec maintained corporate governance levels equivalent to those of companies listed on the stock exchange. For this reason, the migration of its shares to the Novo Mercado was a natural path”, explains Jordão. “The adoption of good corporate governance practices results in more efficient management, greater awareness of the company’s role in society and an increase in the perception of value of our stakeholders”, he adds.
