Covid-19: For Padtec, the safety of its employees and business partners comes first

Campinas, May 28, 2020 – For Padtec, the safety of its employees, business partners and customers is the most important priority. The advancement of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil led the government and health authorities to create important rules and recommendations for social distancing by curbing the movement of people and the consequent restriction of some economic activities in the country.

During this period, the internet and the telecommunications services (the main economic activities of Padtec’s customers) were classified by the Brazilian government as essential for the country to fight coronavirus – which also makes the company’s production operations essential. This decision supports Padtec’s objective of overcoming the logistical challenges caused by the pandemic and continuing to deliver its products and services to all corners of the world.

In order to do this, Padtec has adopted, in recent months, a series of measures aimed at ensuring that the company’s products and services are maintained until the end of the Covid-19 pandemic. Among the measures adopted by the company are allowing its employees – dispersed throughout the country and abroad – to work from a home office. For this, the company’s employees have the latest corporate tools for distance communication and video conferencing. The company’s field operations teams continue to comply with their schedules and activities for installing, operating and maintaining networks for operators and internet providers (ISPs). It is worth mentioning that the protocols to prevent and contain the contagion of Covid-19, recommended by national and international bodies, is strictly followed by all the company’s teams.

The Network Operations Center (NOC) and Padtec’s administrative, commercial and research and development areas are prepared to operate remotely, whenever necessary. All the company’s mission critical services (including those of Network Operation and Maintenance and Customer Service – through the SAC) will continue remotely until the end of the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic.

The company’s production and delivery capacities have also been maintained despite initial problems with the component supply-chain from Asia.

It is also important to highlight that, considering the fluidity of the situation and desiring to maintain its responsiveness, Padtec created a Crisis Committee to closely monitor the impact of the epidemic’s progress on its operations and that of it’s clients to prevent and mitigate, when possible, negative consequences.

We appreciate the trust you always have in Padtec and remain committed to keeping you constantly informed.
