Padtec opens new studio for distance training

With capacity for 20 students, the studio expands the company’s offering for training customers from all over the world in DWDM communication networks.

Padtec is opening a new distance learning studio, which will expand its capacity to offer specialized technical training in optical communication networks to customers throughout Brazil and abroad. Installed at the company’s headquarters in Campinas, the new studio has capacity for 20 online students, connected simultaneously.

Padtec’s first distance learning studio was opened in 2021, also in Campinas and with capacity for 20 online students. Since then, it has trained more than 4,000 people, including company employees and customers, in the area of telecommunications systems based on DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology. “With the new room, we are doubling the capacity to offer online training and, with this, reinforcing an aspect that has been highly valued in surveys with our customers”, says Argemiro Sousa, Chief Operations Officer for Equipment at Padtec. In addition to the distance learning studios, the Padtec’s training center also has a room that accommodates another ten in-person students.

The company’s training rooms have a complete network infrastructure, which includes the most recent releases in Padtec products. This allows the simulation of real conditions of a DWDM network – from its installation and commissioning to fault analysis and diagnosis. An important difference of Padtec’s distance learning courses is that classes are taught live, allowing real-time interaction between students and instructors to discuss and clarify doubts. Furthermore, during practical classes, students can interact, from anywhere in the country and the world, with equipment available at Padtec’s training laboratory in Campinas through a modern structure for audio and video transmission.
